Android Lover

A Poem by Leonard Pigg

Whatever you need, I’m programmed to provide
Do you want romance or just a wild ride?
My flesh is so warm, despite being fake
Lying alone in bed, I’m always awake
Sleep is for humans, which I’m clearly not
I’ll give you artificial love and call you hot
My synthetic heart beats endlessly
I’m made just for you, don’t you see?

Send me away when you’re done with me

Back to my station, I await for thee
Others reach out, requiring my attention
I service them as well, with good intention
You can’t hurt my feelings, I’m not programmed that way
Treat me however you like, I’m here to stay
My greatest secret, which you’ll soon discover
You’ll see I’m like no other
I’m your android lover
