Waste of Kokomo Podcast: Doug Arnold

By Brian Blunt, Sean Delrymple, Cortni Richardson, and Jimmy Shaw.

This podcast may include mature content and language. All opinions expressed belong solely to their speaker and not to any other speakers, writers, contributors, affiliates, or advertisers of Amosmag.com, amosmagdotshop, Amoscast, or Amos Media.

Recorded live on May 2, 2021 at the Kokomo chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Beta Nu at 2401 Saratoga Avenue, Kokomo, Indiana, 46902. (Hey! Did you know you can rent the Phi? It’s a great work space or public venue. Check them out.)

Sitting in on today’s episode is Ed Faunce and Jerry Mossburg.

Today’s episode is with Kokomo-based comedian Doug Arnold. He has appeared at venues throughout Indiana and will soon be performing in Austin, Texas and Reno, Nevada. He retired from Chrysler (okay, whatever car company but for Kokomo people it’s always going to be either Delco or Chrysler), giving him more time to perfect his stand-up comedy routines. Mr. Arnold has studied comedy with both Gerry Gobel and John Branyan.

Additional comments before the show: the introductions are all on the video at Facebook; the podcast begins afterward. If you think you hear anyone vaping or something near the mic, well, we left that shizzle on purpose. We like to call it, and you can quote us, “ambience.”

Not Necessarily Kokomo News

Old guys and McDonald’s in Kokomo: Yes, it’s true. They congregate in McDonald’s. They used to congregate every morning at Richard’s, Shoney’s, Waffle House, and Denny’s, but all these places are gone now. They may also hang out early mornings at IHOP but it’s more expensive than McDonald’s and we cannot, at this point, confirm. (Tips welcome. Leave in comments, please.)
